Working in partnership with business to bring the citizens of Mangaung online

Through another innovative partnership, Project Isizwe has begun deploying an initial 30 Free Internet Zones (FIZ) in the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, to begin bringing the citizen’s in South Africa’s judicial Capital City, Bloemfontein, online.

The Mangaung city-wide rollout aims to bring Free WiFi to the 1.3 million residents, prioritising connectivity for those living in the low-income and previously disadvantaged areas of the municipality.

The Mangaung project is a collaborative initiative being deployed by Project Isizwe in partnership with EOH.

The Mangaung city rollout is in the context of the greater province-wide deployment. Provincial Premier, Mr Sekgobelo Elias Ace Magashule, has committed to deploying Free WiFi throughout the province with the view of bringing the population of 3.5 million online.
