North West province hotel schools receive Free WiFi
In South Africa’s North West Province, two rural towns - Mahikeng and Taung - are home to two hotel schools. Overseen by the provincial Department of Tourism, these schools provide hospitality, tourism and conservation management and skills training to industry graduates who contribute to the development of South African tourism.
Project Isizwe is hoping to deploy Free WiFi to the Mahikeng Hotel School and Taung Hotel School campuses in an initiative which will assist the students at the hotel schools to further their interests through access to information, education and resources online.
As the two schools endeavour to become the leading hospitality and tourism management training institutions in the North West Province, switching on Free WiFi will contribute to the planned transformative infrastructure upgrades - alongside staff recruitment, new programme design and development and service improvement - designed to enable the vision.
